Students shine their light from Space School

Ava Pearson and Yui Saito, two Year 10 students at Clayfield College, are currently on a trip of a lifetime to Texas where they are participating in an International Study Program with NASA at the Houston Association for Space and Science Education (HASSE) Space School.

This remarkable opportunity will enable Ava and Yui to immerse themselves in the world’s most profound and impactful STEM environment while working with astronauts, engineers and scientists.  The program incorporates a rocket workshop, space simulations and scientific experiments, as well as personal development aspects such as self-motivation, team work and goal setting; all skills necessary to empower young women in our ever-changing society.

Clayfield College is proud of Ava and Yui for seizing this life-changing experience to further their excellence in STEM beyond the classroom. We wish them all the best for the remainder of the program, which concludes on 22 December, and look forward to hearing about their journey of exploration and science.
