Shine Magazine – Summer 2025 Out Now

Clayfield College is delighted to share the Summer edition of Shine magazine — a celebration of learning, innovation and community spirit across our College that shows how we bring the College’s Strategic Intent 2023-2027 to life.

This edition captures a defining moment in Clayfield’s story with THE EDGE – A Bold New Era, showcasing the launch of our purpose-built hub for Entrepreneurship, Design, Growth and Engineering. This inspiring new space is already transforming the learning experience for students of all ages and driving curiosity, creativity and real-world problem-solving.

You’ll also find a deep dive into Parallel Learnings, with Principal Dr Andrew Cousins sharing insights from recent parent and student forums about how the College’s distinctive Parallel Learning model is strengthening confidence, connection and personal growth during crucial adolescent years.

This edition also explores the transformation of the Carolyn Hauff Boarding House and the modern, welcoming environment that supports Clayfield’s growing co-educational boarding community.

Across the College, our Strategic Pillar: Learning from Experiences comes to life through powerful stories of hands-on, authentic learning. From global academic programs and cultural tours to outdoor education and adventure, Clayfield students are broadening their perspectives and building skills that will shape their future pathways.

Sport has also reached exciting new heights. With strong enrolments of boys across the Primary and Secondary Schools, Boys’ Sport: Gaining Strength and Spirit highlights expanding programs, new opportunities and emerging talent. Alongside this, enjoy the profiles of the exceptional young people balancing high-performance sporting commitments with their academic journey.

Finally, relive the magic with On the Green Lights Up, recapping our flagship community event featuring Australian music icons performing alongside students in a joyful celebration of connection.

The magazine also celebrates the annual Spirit of Clayfield Award winners and finalists. Plus, hear from the Clayfield College Old Collegians’ Association, the Foundation and the P&F Association.

We hope you enjoy reading Shine Summer 2025 and take pride in the many achievements, stories and milestones that continue to make our community so special.
