The Water for Life school poster competition was held in line with National Water Week, which ran from 16 – 22 October with the aim of highlighting water awareness and water efficiency in the community.
Seqwater received hundreds of entries with lots of thought put into different ways to conserve and reuse water.
Seqwater Acting Chief Executive Officer Jim Pruss said he was impressed by the creativity and ingenuity students had shown in their entries.
“The idea behind our competition is to engage and educate young people about the importance of water for life,” Mr Pruss said.
“Today’s students are tomorrow’s decision makers. Our long-term water future will be in their hands so it’s important we encourage the sustainable use of this limited resource.
