Year 7: 2021 and beyond
Transition into Secondary School
What you will quickly come to realise as a member of our Clayfield family, is every student is known, valued and understood. That’s what’s so special about being part of our small school with a big heart.
We understand that transitioning from Primary School into Secondary School is a big change. We offer guidance and support to students every step of the way. One way we do this is through a series of Transition Events that take place in the lead up to commencement in Year 7.
Student care is at the heart of everything we do at Clayfield. We place the utmost importance on designing connected, personalised learning experiences for each student, supported by our robust and well-developed pastoral care program. Our goal is to not only make the transition into Year 7 as smooth as possible for students, but to make every stage they embark on throughout their Secondary schooling a success.
Our Buddy System
Hear from Mr Justin Desmarchelier, Head of House, as he provides an overview of our Pastoral Care Program and Buddy System in Secondary School, through an interview with a current Year 7 student and her Year 11 buddy.
