We understand that transitioning from Primary School into Secondary School can be both exciting and a little daunting. We are here to support and guide students every step of the way through this period of change.
One way we do this is through our Countdown to Commencement Transition Program, which includes a series of events in the lead up to joining us in Year 7. These events allow your son or daughter to become familiar with our Secondary School campus, recognise and get to know our teaching and pastoral care staff, and most importantly, build connections.
Students will engage in a fun and interactive program of activities while developing friendships and spending time with members of staff.
A night of light-hearted fun for parents and students alike!
Families will experience our College spirit, and connect with the people who will support them during the transition into Year 7.
Dr. Coulson, father of six and one of Australia’s leading parenting experts, will share strategies that can help families function well, and students adjust quickly, to the significant changes Secondary School brings.
On this day students will enjoy meeting their buddy, participating in some Secondary School subjects, and attending a Transition Conference.
Parents have the opportunity to meet other Secondary School parents, as well as our Senior Leadership Team, Year 7/8 Head of Year and Heads of Department.
The purpose of this morning is to make students feel as settled as possible before their first official day as a Secondary School student!
