James Morrison

The James Morrison Quartet is one of the world’s most in demand jazz ensembles. Featuring Australian multi-instrumentalist James Morrison, the group has taken the international music scene by storm performing at major festivals such as BBC Proms with superstar Dianne Reeves, Melbourne International Jazz Festival with Patti Austin and performing at famous jazz venues including Ronnie Scott’s in London.

He is constantly on the move, touring everywhere and anywhere fine music has an audience. Ray Brown once called him “The Genius” but Wynton Marsalis said it best: “Man, James Morrison can play!"

Vocalist Emma Park

Award winning vocalist Emma Pask has firmly established herself as one of Australia’s favourite voices in Jazz. Her effortless honest stage presence combined with her powerful vocal ability, leaves audiences spellbound and inspired whenever she takes to the stage. While Emma’s voice and style are unique, and individually her own, her performances are reminiscent of the classic era of jazz, when swing was top of the charts.

Clayfield Big Band

The Clayfield College Big Band consists of students who are part of the Music program at the College. The students all share a passion for jazz and contemporary art music. The band is directed by Tim Opstelten and is one of the most innovative and aspiring school bands in Brisbane.

Brisbane Big Band

One of Brisbane’s most historically significant community bands who has been entertaining the people of Brisbane for over 110 years.  It is one of the original member bands of the current Bands in the Park program.  Under the direction of David Jones, it has a strong, vibrant member base and has played at civic events, Anzac ceremonies and gala concerts throughout the city.

BBC Big Band

BBC’s Big Band covers all styles of Jazz music and performs regularly at College and community events.
