The Clayfield College Playgroup is a parent-led group supported by the education staff at the College and is open to all members of the community. The program is semi-structured with share stories and response activities encouraged for the children, and general play and socialisation within the Prep playground, and the extended Clayfield College grounds. Activities are child-driven with access to a myriad of resources to engage with.

Our playgroup will optimise the engagement of families with our College prior to the start of a child’s formal education by:

  • familiarising families with our College grounds
  • working to overcome barriers to entering our education spaces
  • introducing families to academic and administrative staff here at Clayfield
  • encouraging trusted and secure relationships between families and the College

The Playgroup meets every Friday 8:30am to 10:00am during the school term. The Prep playground will be the main venue for most gatherings. A sign-in and out sheet will need to be completed with each visit.

To access the Clayfield College Playgroup, you will need to become a member of Playgroup Queensland. To become a member, please visit the Playgroup Queensland website to join and also enjoy special member benefits.
