Clayfield College Foundation

The Clayfield College Foundation was established in 1989 to provide a financial basis for future development of the College. The Foundation seeks to assist in two broad areas:

  • to develop a portfolio of investment to generate returns that will allow the College to become independent of government funding and its restrictions, as and when that becomes necessary; and
  • to act as the capital development co-ordination body for the College in providing expertise and funds to facilitate the growth programs of school buildings and capital assets.

The Foundation Board consists of members of the PMSA Council, Parents and Friends Association and the Old Collegians' Association.

The Foundation has successfully delivered a number of key projects to the College, including the Physical Education Centre, the Carolyn Hauff Boarding House, the Prep Centre, the Swimming Pool redevelopment, Food and Robotics Technology Centre, Middle Years Courtyard, Science Laboratory refurbishment and the Primary School Building.

In 2015 the Foundation delivered the state of the art Nancy Ashburn Library Resource Centre. It provides a unique environment for our students, offering traditional library services in an inviting and flexible environment to suit individual, group or whole class activities. In addition, the integration of appropriate digital technologies extends learning beyond the classroom with touch screen, telepresence, green room and document readers. It has become a learning space where all P-12 Clayfield students interact, learn and connect with the global world.

The Years 6-9 Precinct was an exciting addition to student facilities in 2016. Offering ten classrooms over three levels to cater for our Years 6-9 students, this building has embraced the heritage of the College whilst creating outstanding facilities and providing a strong platform for the future growth of the campus.

Without the support of our kind and generous Clayfield College community, The Foundation would not be able to undertake these necessary campus improvement projects to facilitate the continued growth of the College.
