Accommodation & Dining
Students in Years 5 to 8 share small dormitory style accommodation. These dormitories generally sleep between four and seven girls. Years 9 - 11 share a twin room, which includes a desk for private study, whilst the Year 12 students have a single room with ensuite facilities, where available. All sleeping accommodation is fully air-conditioned. All areas of the Boarding House are connected to the College intranet.
A number of small sitting areas and kitchenettes are scattered throughout the building so that the boarders can relax and enjoy quiet times by themselves or with friends. There is a television lounge and a large screen for special screenings of television programs, movies or sporting events. There is also an Xbox Kinect, Wii and gymnasium for the more active girls.
The College provides a comprehensive daily laundry service; however, there are small laundries where girls may launder delicate items.
A Health Centre is located close to Reception so that staff can monitor any sick boarders throughout the day and a larger centre is available where girls can be isolated when necessary. A Registered Nurse, employed by the College, runs a clinic before school each morning.
Other facilities include a Boardroom and attached Kitchenette which are available for meetings, a small library, and a music practice room equipped with a piano.
There is an oven for the girls to develop cooking skills or make food for special occasions, such as birthdays.
Each day our catering staff provides breakfast from 6:45am, a packed morning tea and lunch, afternoon tea when the students return from school and dinner at 6:00pm. The boarders enjoy a variety of special occasion meals such as theme dinners and the farewell to Seniors dinner.
