Scholarships

Scholarships & Bursaries

Clayfield College offers a number of Academic and Excellence Scholarships as well as an ICPA Bursary. All scholarships are awarded for the duration of a student's education at the College are reviewed at each semester reporting period. Scholarships cover partial remission of tuition and/or boarding fees.

Excellence Scholarships

The College has available a limited number of Excellence Scholarships each year for students in Years 6 to 11. In offering such scholarships, the College seeks to support students who can demonstrate potential excellence, a commitment to Clayfield College and a desire to achieve their goals beyond schooling.

Excellence Scholarships are available to students who can demonstrate potential excellence in at least two (2) of the following categories with Academic Excellence being an essential criteria (students would be expected to be in the top 10% of their cohort): Academic Excellence, Sporting Excellence and Cultural Excellence, and will be subject to an application with resume and an interview with the Principal.

Clayfield College also offers an annual Isolated Children’s Parents’ Association (ICPA) Bursary. This bursary is awarded annually to a student who lives in a remote or isolated region and needs to live away from home to complete their schooling. Music Scholarships

Clayfield College offers a limited number of Music Excellence Scholarships which are available for new students entering into Middle and Senior Schooling. In offering such scholarships, the College seeks to support and enrich students who can demonstrate excellence in Music performance. Students must be able to demonstrate academic excellence as well as outstanding musical achievement.

Scholarship applicants will be required to submit recent academic transcripts (school reports), a one page resume outlining their achievements in Music and a performance DVD of at least two contrasting pieces. Short-listed applicants will be required to attend an interview with the Principal and Head of Music and may be asked to perform in a live audition.

Academic Scholarships (Co-operative Scholarship Testing Program)

A number of Academic Scholarships are awarded annually to students entering the College in Year 8 or Year 11 in 2014 and are based on a student's performance in the annual Co-operative Scholarship Testing Program conducted by ACER. 

Applications for Academic Scholarships for 2014 have closed. Registrations for Year 7, Year 8 and Year 11 Academic Scholarships for 2015 will be open from October 2013.
