Recreation & Leave
In the Clayfield College Boarding House the Administration Officer organises a variety of enjoyable and entertaining recreational options for boarders. There are regular supervised weekend shopping trips and in-house movie nights. Activities the boarders often participate in include:
- football matches;
- ice-skating;
- school dances and socials;
- CCBH Idol and karoake nights;
- cultural events;
- theatre performances;
- beach trips;
- theme park visits (Wet & Wild, Sea World, Dream World);
- sporting events;
- theme dinners;
- entertainment organised by particular Year groups; and
- charity events
The Boarding House Recreational Program is supported by a risk analysis and management system that complies with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and duty of care considerations.
Clayfield College Boarding House has a generous weekend leave policy. All leave is approved by the Head of Boarding after confirmation of required details. Girls must be collected and returned by parents or hosts. Weekend leave is unrestricted in quantity with the application of certain conditions.
Special leave is available for Years 11 and 12 students and a special form must be completed for this leave.
