Accommodation & Dining
Clayfield College boarding provides boarders from Year 5 to Year 12 with a home away from home. Students in Years 5 to 9 share small dormitory style accommodation. These dormitories generally sleep between four and seven girls. Years 10 and 11 share a twin room, which includes a desk for private study whilst the Year 12 students have a single room with ensuite facilities where available. All sleeping accommodation is fully air-conditioned. All twin share and single accommodation styles are connected to the College intranet.
A number of small sitting areas and kitchenettes are scattered throughout the building so that the boarders can relax and enjoy quiet times by themselves or with friends. A large entertainment room complete with a large plasma television and DVD is available for recreational use.
The College provides a comphrensive daily laundry service, however, there are small laundries where girls may launder special items.
A Sickbay is located close to Reception so that staff can monitor any sick boarders throughout the day.
Other facilities include a Boardroom and attached Kitchenette which are available for meetings, a small library, a Prayer Room, a music practice room, equipped with a piano, a gym and Craft Room.
Each day our catering staff provides breakfast from 7.00am, a packed morning tea and lunch, afternoon tea when the students return from school and dinner at 5.30pm. The boarders enjoy a variety of special occasion meals such as formal dinners, theme dinners, annual birthday party, the farewell to Seniors dinner and the Christmas Party.
